Vintage Chinese Hedaio nut beads. Each bead is intrictely hand carved showing a profusion of foliage. If you look carefully you will spot a bird among the leaves. Also found are a few with a frog, a fish, a rabbit and even 1 sloth.  The carvings remind us of "Where's Waldo". Most of the beads are round, some slightly oval. Most are 14-15mm hole to hole. Holes are 2-3mm. Each bead is unique in design. Sold individually

The amount of hand carving in each bead remarkable. Hedaio folk carving is a dying art in China.
